Story of Keep Calm and Carry On

'Keep Calm and Carry on' - You see it everywhere from Posters, T-Shirts, Mugs and even phone cases. Ever wonder the origins of this slogan??

It was a propaganda poster created by the British Ministry of Information in 1939, before the the beginning of Second World War. It's purpose to raise morale of the British people during the threat of Nazi attacks.

Three designs where created with the other two slogans - "Freedom Is In Peril. Defend It With All Your Might" and "Your Courage, Your Cheerfulness, Your Resolution Will Bring Us Victory" 

While these two posters where distributed and posted around the city, the 'Keep Calm & Carry On" was held in reserve and never used, going unnoticed, until some 60 years later when a copy was found in the second hand book store in the North of England.
