Ford GT returns with 600hp EcoBoost V6

Ford is bringing the GT back in 2016, just in time to celebrate 50 years of Ford’s first Le Mans win. The new Ford GT will be significantly lighter, thanks largely use of more aluminum & carbon fibre in the body and chassis.

Featuring a twin-turbo 3.5L EcoBoost V6, pumping out 600hp (replaces the supercharged V-8 engine in the previous GT). The styling is reminiscent of the original GT40, with aggressive lower air intakes and splitter on the front. Massive intakes in the back fenders to cool the rear-mounted engine with dual exhaust. No pricing details yet, expected to be near $150,000 US
