The NoMad Hotel - New York

While we love staying in very modern boutique hotels, the NoMad in New York recently entered our radar - European grandeur . . . with Parisian flair!

Located in New York's Madison Square Park District, the 168 room hotel opened it's doors at the early part of 2012. Inside this ’turn of the century Beaux-Arts building’ feature interiors designed by Jacques Garcia (best know for Hôtel Costes in Paris)

Ceiling high lobby, glass roof atrium, exquisite furniture and lush dark woods greet you upon arrival. One of the main features that brought the NoMad to our attention was the library . . . It's filled with leather couches, armchairs, long communal reading table and walls filled with books, ohh did we mention they serve drinks?

Rooms are rich and lush, more reminiscent of staying at a well appointed guest room with friends, featuring beautiful artwork, textured wood, custom-designed furnishings, deep pile carpets, freestanding claw foot bathtubs and much more than just oozes comfort.

So are you sold on the Nomad?
