SixthSense - A Wearable Gestural Interface

Tom Cruise's use of virtual gestures in Minority Report is closer than you think . . . Pranav Mistry showcases one of the best technologies we've ever seen on a TED talk. The potential of SixthSense technology is very cost effective and will change the world we live in - Seemless access to all the information we use from our device filled pockets.

Pranav Mistry is an Indian computer scientist, currently a research assistant and a PhD candidate at MIT Media Lab, Pranav's research on SixthSense was named to the MIT Technology Review TR35, as one of the top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35, along with the Invention Award by Popular Science in 2009.

The current prototype system costs approximate $350 to build and is all open source. A must watch video.
