James Bond auction raised over $1.6 million

The Global Bond Day was kicked off in London with Christie's sale of James Bond memorabilia to mark the 50th anniversary of Ian Fleming's super spy.

On sale was the 2008 Aston Martin DBS, driven by Daniel Craig in "Quantum of Solace", which sold for USD 386,000. While the the swimming trunks worrn in the same movie fetched $71,120.

A titanium Omega Seamaster Professional Planet Ocean watch worn by

On hand to help with the sale was former James Bond, Sir Roger Moore with Dame Judi Dench.


The auction marked the 50th anniversary of the first screening of Dr No and was held to help raise money for charity.
